Irish News School Competition

To celebrate Derry’s City of Culture status, the Irish News and the Tourist Board are offering schools the chance to win an educational and fun trip to Derry City.  We ask that any relative of our school children who buy the Irish News collect the tokens and send them into the school office.

CumannÓige

School Meals

Reminder to parents of a short postponement of school meals. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control and until further notice, the hot meals at lunch time will be replaced with the provision of Sandwiches, Fresh Fruit, Yoghurts and Milk each day.

The North Eastern Education & Library Board have stated that they will endeavour to provide a new piece of equipment that we require within a few weeks and when the unit has been installed, dinners will resume.

Those children with entitlement for Free School Meals will obviously be catered for with a ‘packed lunch’ type meal as detailed above and the option also remains for parents to buy this type of lunch if they so desire.

Board of Governor Meeting

There is to be an open meeting for all parents at the Gaelscoil on the evening of Wednesday 20th February at 7pm. The purpose of the meeting is to provide opportunity for parents to touch base with Board of Governor members and to allow the Board to address parents on current school issues. All parents are cordially invited and we would hope to see as many of you as possible in attendance.
